    Get PDF
The aim of this study is strategic planning of poultry cluster to determine the leverage points based on the supply chain strategy and to offer approaches according to commercial soft technology maturity. The study was performed using field study and documentation between September 2017 and August 2018.  The results highlight the leverage points regarding supply and demand management of chicken meat with an emphasis on export market and low maturity of business technology in Golestan poultry markets. Some solutions are presented with regard to the current situation of the markets which are basically based on business soft technology.

Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for operator geometrically convex functions

In this paper, we introduce the concept of operator geometrically convex functions for positive linear operators and prove some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for these functions. As applications, we obtain trace inequalities for operators which give some refinements of previous results.Comment: Accepted for publishing in Monatshefte fur Mathemati

Investigating the principles of psychotherapy based on comparative analysis of views of existence philosophers

AbstractThe purpose of the present study is to inference some principles of psychotherapy based on the investigation and comparative analysis of the ideas of existence philosophers regarding human being and his psyche. The research method used is comparative analysis as well as practical syllogism from the philosophical research methods. As the results indicate, although there are many variations in the ideas of the existence philosophers, all of them focus on similar points in explaining the human essence. With regard to such ground, the psychotherapy principles including self-awareness, freedom and responsibility; search for mean; personality; and authenticity were deduced. The methods for applying and practicing each of the principles by the therapists and the counselors in treating the human psyche are also proposed

The Distributed Lambda Model (DLM): A 3-D, Finite-Element Muscle Model Based on Feldman's Lambda Model; Assessment of Orofacial Gestures

International audiencePurpose: The authors aimed to design a distributed Lambda model (DLM), which is well-adapted to implement three-dimensional (3-D) Finite Element descriptions of muscles. Method: A muscle element model was designed. Its stress-strain relationships included the active force-length characteristics of the Lambda model along the muscle fibers, together with the passive properties of muscle tissues in the 3-D space. The muscle element was first assessed using simple geometrical representations of muscles in form of rectangular bars. Then, it was included in a 3-D face model, and its impact on lip protrusion was compared with the impact of a Hill-type muscle model. Results: The force-length characteristic associated with the muscle elements matched well with the invariant characteristics of the Lambda model. The impact of the passive properties was assessed. Isometric force variation and isotonic displacements were modeled. The comparison with a Hill-type model revealed strong similarities in terms of global stress and strain. Conclusion: The DLM accounted for the characteristics of the Lambda model. Biomechanically no clear differences were found between the DLM and a Hill-type model. Accurate evaluations of the Lambda model, based on the comparison between data and simulations, are now possible with 3-D biomechanical descriptions of the speech articulators because to the DLM

Therefore, the present study was an attempt to investigate the relationship of forgiveness and intrinsic and extrinsic religious orientation with marital conflicts. Methods: This study is correlational and the statistical population consists of married teachers with children from Qom, who were taking part in an in-service training program in the summer of 2016. Out of them, 224 participants were selected based on Morgan’s table by simple random sampling. The participants were evaluated using Alport’s religious orientation, Rye’s forgiveness and Barati and Sanaei’s marital conflict questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation test and multiple regression with backward method. In this study, all the ethical considerations have been observed and no conflict of interest was reported by the authors. Results: The results showed that marital conflicts had a significantly negative relationship with forgiveness and intrinsic religious orientation. There was no significant relationship, however, between marital conflicts and extrinsic religious orientation. Conclusion: Based the findings, it can be concluded that paying attention to the couple’s religious orientation and teaching forgiveness skills will play an important role in reducing marital conflicts. For downloading the full-text of this article please click here. Please cite this article as: Zarei M, Nazari AM, Zahrakar K. Predictive Factors for Juvenile Delinquency: The Role of Family Structure, Parental Monitoring and Delinquent Peers

    Get PDF
The aim of this research was to investigate the role of family structure, parental monitoring and affiliation with delinquent peers in predicting juvenile delinquency. In this Cross-sectional study, 96 delinquent adolescents and 91 non-delinquent adolescents, chosen through a convenient sampling in Tehran, completed parental monitoring inventory and affiliation with delinquent peers scale. Data was analyzed using Logestic regression analysis. Reliability of the questionnaires verified using internal consistency and test-retest methods. Regarding Logestic regression analysis results, among predicting variables, family structure and affiliation with delinquent peers were significant predictors of juvenile delinquency. These factors could explain 29 to 39 percent of delinquency variance. Parental monitoring was also unable to predict delinquency, but it could significantly predict affiliation with delinquent peers. The results of the present study were in line with results of the previous researches and showed that distress in family structure and affiliation with delinquent peers have a significant role in the delinquency phenomenon. Therefore, it seems necessary to consider these factors as influential factors in promoting delinquency
